Every Poshak Ghar order is hand-checked, carefully folded, and wrapped before it leaves our Kathmandu workshop. Even so, a fit, a colour, or an occasion can change a mind — and we understand that completely.
That is why our returns are built around real people rather than automated forms. Reach out, and we will guide you through each step, keeping the experience as warm as the welcome your order was meant to bring.

Getting started
How to start a return
1. Contact us
Message our team with your order number and the piece you would like to send back. A real person reviews every request and replies within one to two business days.
2. Pack it up
Fold the item back into its original wrap with tags and finishing details intact. We will send a return authorisation and the nearest address for your region.
3. Ship & refund
Post it back with a trackable service. Once it clears our quick inspection, we issue your refund or send the replacement on its way — no fuss.

Refund timing
Once your return reaches our workshop, our team inspects the item within two to three business days. As soon as it passes, we issue your refund to the original payment method. From there, please allow an additional five to ten business days for your bank or card provider to post the funds. Original shipping charges are non-refundable unless the return is due to our error.
Exchanges
Want a different size, colour, or design instead of a refund? We are glad to arrange an exchange on any eligible item — just tell us your preferred replacement when you reach out and we will reserve it where stock allows. Because each handwoven batch is limited, some pieces sell out quickly; if your choice is gone by the time your return arrives, we will offer the closest match or a full refund, whichever you prefer.
Damaged or wrong items
If your order arrives damaged in transit or the wrong item slips through, that is on us. Contact us within seven days of delivery with your order number and a few photos, and we will arrange a replacement or full refund — including any shipping you paid — and cover the return postage. The standard condition rules never apply in these cases.
A note on handmade variation
Slight differences in weave, hue, and texture are the signature of genuine handmade work — never a defect. Two dhaka shawls from the same loom are cousins, not copies. We celebrate these marks of the maker, and we hope you will too.
